There’s been a fair amount of coverage for the recent DOGE pump, but no mention of the legality.
There’s been a fair amount of coverage for the recent DOGE pump, but no mention of the legality. As I understand, all pumps (and dumps) are illegal, is that not correct? Why has there been no authority mentioning this anywhere? Nothing in news, no warnings, no sign of the perpetrators facing consequence etc… https://cointelegraph.com/news/dogecoin-gains-20-amidst-tiktok-pumping-challenge https://cointelegraph.com/news/dogecoin-is-not-a-joke-says-okex-ceo-jay-hao

Because doge is a joke. As in: literally a joke. Furthermore a pump is not illegal in itself.

Cute , why would a pump be illegal?a pump is an event events themselves cannot be illegal. You could point to people participating in the buying process that creates a pump but as long as it is not fraudulently manipulated for the purpose of pulling off a scam, buting to raise the price is not illegal either
