I live in the UK & I’ve just read “For instance, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card — a popular choice — can mine more than 15 different currencies”. I have the GTX 2080 which is more powerful, am I able to profitably mine currencies? If so how do I go about this?
Mining is old now Try becoming a cloud host with the same machine Gaurav Vij can help
if you already have the card, dont worry if its profitable imo. you will learn a lot and may make money too. worse case you will be out a few cents on power if you pick the wrong coin to mine and dump.
Michael Hawker You can have a look at https://whattomine.com/ it gives a fairly reasonable picture of what cards can earn in a day. RVN which is also the top earning for your card have a decent community that should be happy to help you get started this https://discord.gg/4qzsR4X is a link to their discord there are plenty of people there who would be happy to help get you started. You will want to check your power rate very carefully when looking at potential returns.
at this point it’s not worth it for individuals to mine unless you have a bunch of spare gpus and cheap electricity
Also the only currencies worth mining with a graphics card are the ones that are immune to Asic miners
When mining with graphics cards most people do it with multiple. anywhere from 5 to 10 graphics cards per rig.
