Cryptocurrency is the only form of money on the planet that is controlled by people and not government. It was born of the internet, for the age of the internet. A global, efficient, and borderless society. Anyone who thinks a movement this powerful can be stopped is dead wrong
I agree with you when it comes to Bitcoin but can’t the rest of the cryptos be shut down by governments if they wanted to?

Tell me, how would you shut down a decentralized network of miners across the world. Narrator: You can’t.
This is an idealist position, but doesn’t address the reality that hostile governments can, through legislation, squash any dreams of “mass adoption” simply by declaring it as “tools of money laundering” and making possession illegal. 98% of people on the street are not going to risk fines, incarceration, and/or asset forfeiture to use an internet currency that they have not perceived a need for thus far. Can it be “stopped?” No, just like hackers, child pornography, drugs, etc can’t be “stopped.” However it can be made risky to own or use and that on its own will drive the price way, way down.

and when millions of people say they have millions invested there? private coins? how will you check each person for crypto?

Fuck ‘em!
I agree with this. I even switched my browser to Cryptotab to mine for me and it’s free. Anyone have questions you can comment or PM me. I’ll be happy to answer them. https://cryptotabbrowser.com/12965054

Lol bro, I used to work for Akamai. Thanks for the history lesson but I was fucking with you the whole time.

horserider , congrats. Your sarcasm came off as stupidity.

Thanks internet conspiracy stranger!

horserider , you are welcome decentralized CDN worker bee!

Ugh you’re a moron but that’s okay- I forgive you, it’s not your fault.
Jon Geoghegan, Your sarcasm detector is broken.

horserider , lol sure. Your such a nice guy. Thanks for calling me a moron and pretending your internet is controlled by you.

Kyle Myers, no. Its a stupidity detector. And his response were as ignorant and childish as name calling.
…no one actually believes Al Gore created the Internet.

Many of us don’t

So you don’t buy it with the dollar?

No. Earned or mined
People tell me “nobody accepts btc or crypto” and I’m like for real? Every single darknet market place only accepts Bitcoin or crypto. The entire free market thrives on Bitcoin

minning needs a computer, energy and internet + knowledge that costs money.

How does someone get their first dollar? Value comes from effort. Currency does not need currency to be created. Some crypto’s are inflationary, and do not have a finite supply. So the point is null

just trying to understand the crypto hype, there it seems to be more fans than people actually doing anything useful with it

Your point was “because it’s finite, it’s a stock”. I say that point is null, because many cryptos are not finite. Crypto allows people to transact without government oversight. It’s cheaper and faster for cross-border transactions, and the code is transparent, meaning there will never be a surprise inflation event like there is now with the Fed

but if the dolar inflates ,that doesnt affect the crypto you buy? is there major companies taking crypto and why not ? just trying to understand

The dollar and crypto are inversely correlated if anything. The more the dollar inflates, the more worthless it becomes, and the more people will look to alternative stores of value like real estate, gold, crypto etc

attitudeboy , so its like a stock

Gold, nor real estate are stocks, what makes you think crypto is a stock, after what we’ve already talked about?

Would love to hear the batshit crazy logic behind this one

attitudeboy , it was already stated with evidence to support, shit for brains

Really? Source?

attitudeboy , google is your friend

That’s a flippant diversion. I bet you can’t find one reputable source of information.
sweetness , Yes, including BTC. If you make it unusable, it is effectively shut down.
